About Me
No, I wasn't christened McEvoy, but Paul, and Paul is how I'm known to my friends (and enemies). Unfortunately there are an awful lot of Paul Williamses in the world, and every one of them who has ever written anything must know the feeling when 'Other books by Paul Williams' shows up on Amazon and other websites. While the long list certainly makes us all look terribly industrious, it is not a lot of use for those looking for other books by their favourite PW. So McEvoy Williams it is from now on. And no prizes for guessing my mother's maiden name.
I was brought up in Stoke Newington. My family later moved to Ipswich, Suffolk, and I went to the University of East Anglia, Norwich. I worked in London for another thirty years in the Civil Service and NHS before finally moving back to Suffolk.
My latest novel, The Ceramic Cottage, is available on Amazon Kindle. More details about that on this site.
My first novel, As Handsome Does (under the name Paul Williams), was published in 2001 and may still be found on Amazon and other book store sites if you're lucky (or unlucky).
Feel free to look around the site by clicking on the page links along the top. I try to update the blog pages regularly. Comments can be left there.
